My Father passed away a few years ago and we are only just getting around to sorting out some of his collectables. This coin is surely something special as its so heavy. Its the first thing we noticed. Compared to the smaller coins, this must be valuable for silver content, never mind the coin! The coin and case look very good. Sleeve has some marking see photos. Its a sleeve that protects the case. Its done its job as the case is scratch free. Some are listed without the sleeve and so its probably not as important as the case which is in far better condition. The coin as never been touched since handled at the mint in the 1970s. We have pitched the price in the middle of what we’ve been able to find. We will allow offers but can’t promise that we’ll accept a lower offer until we’feel’ what the interest is. Jamaica – Elizabeth II. Royal Mint 1979 large silver. Prince (now King) Charles, Prince of Wales. 63m diameter, contains 2100 grains (4.375 troy ounces) of Sterling silver. Encapsulated, in presentation box, with Certificate of Authenticity and outer card slide cover. Never been removed from plastic shield/ cover. Issue limit of 25,000.
